Richard is Counsel in Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department.
He has significant first-chair complex commercial litigation experience as a trial lawyer, representing national and international clients in trademark and unfair competition matters, as well as franchise and distribution system contract disputes. He has also litigated matters involving restrictive covenants, antitrust and trade regulations, shareholder derivative claims, partnership disputes, estate litigation, insurance coverage, lender liability, and real estate disputes. Richard has also represented construction industry clients in litigation involving contract disputes, construction lien claims, and public bidding protests.
Before joining the firm, Richard was counsel at Spector Gadon & Rosen, P.C. and was previously an associate with the Philadelphia law firms of Ballard Spahr LLP and Pepper Hamilton LLP. He served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Peter G. Verniero, Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court; and the Honorable Michael Patrick King, Presiding Judge of the New Jersey Superior Court, Appellate Division.
Richard received his J.D. from Rutgers School of Law – Camden and his B.A. magna cum laude in Political Science from Drew University. He is a member of Phi Beta Kappa.
