Andrew is a patent attorney in Wiggin and Dana's New York office, with experience advising growth-stage and mature companies on all aspects of intellectual property, across a wide variety of technologies.
Andrew counsels clients on development, protection and monetization of their patent and trademark portfolios, strategic licensing, and enforcement strategies. Andrew also advises clients on freedom to operate, validity and infringement analyses.
Andrew is also a member of Wiggin and Dana’s Emerging Companies and Venture Capital Practice Group, where he is passionate about working with growing companies in developing a strong IP strategy for procurement, diligence and utilization of IP.
Andrew's experience covers numerous technologies, including software, e-commerce, financial technologies, data architecture, electronics, optics, digital image processing, printers, digital displays, mechanical devices, medical devices, biotechnology, and pharmaceuticals.
Andrew received his J.D. cum laude from Brooklyn Law School, where he was the patent chair for the Intellectual Property Law Association (IPLA) and assisted startups with intellectual property matters in the Brooklyn Law Incubator & Policy Clinic. He earned his undergraduate degree in biology from Yeshiva University.
Andrew is a member of the NYIPLA, NYSBA IP Section, and an active member of the Brooklyn Law School Alumni Association. He currently spends time volunteering office hours through a number of local entrepreneurial associations, as well as universities.
