Elana S. Bildner


Elana is a litigation Associate in Wiggin and Dana's New Haven office. She regularly represents clients in civil and appellate litigation, class actions, white-collar defense, franchise disputes, and arbitration matters.

Elana works closely with many of the litigation practice groups at Wiggin and Dana.

Before joining the firm, Elana advised corporations in multi-jurisdictional investigations by government regulators; successfully defended a class action arising from the Madoff fraud; and oversaw investment treaty arbitration in Spanish and English against sovereign nations.

Elana holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where she was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar, an executive editor of the Columbia Human Rights Law Review, and treasurer of the Public Interest Law Foundation. She earned her B.A. in philosophy from Yale University.

Elana also has significant pro bono experience representing clients in civil rights and immigration matters. Before becoming a lawyer, Elana served as an editorial intern for Legal Affairs magazine, the Miami Herald, and The Wall Street Journal.
