2008 Spring Estate Planning Seminars

May 1, 2008
Join us at our annual seminar and learn about basic estate planning principles, with an emphasis on avoiding estate, gift and generation-skipping taxes, and maximizing lifetime wealth. We will review the use of wills and trusts, and the need to coordinate insurance and retirement assets with the rest of your estate plan. The use of living trusts, avoiding probate, and living wills will also be discussed.

After you have a basic estate plan in place, your heirs may still face significant taxes. We will also explore sophisticated estate planning techniques. Topics will include personal residence trusts, generation-skipping planning, grantor retained annuity trusts, retirement planning, intentionally defective grantor trusts and charitable gift planning.

Recent changes to the estate and gift tax laws, and further proposed tax law changes, highlight the need for flexible estate plans that adapt to changing circumstances. This seminar will include a review of the tax changes and recommend strategies for effectively addressing these challenges.

Seminars will be offered at 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm at all locations. Each seminar is one and one-half hours and free of charge. Refreshments will be served.
