Daniel Goren, counsel at Wiggin and Dana LLP, recently spoke on a panel in Long Beach, California, with officials from the Department of Commerce’s Office of Exporter Services and Department of State’s Defense Trade Controls Compliance (DTCC) on the subject of how to scope an investigation for a voluntary self-disclosure. The panel was a part of the Society for International Affair’s (SIA’s) launch of its revised Voluntary Disclosure Handbook, which Dan helped re-write while serving on SIA’s special committee dedicated to updating and enhancing the voluntary disclosure guide.

SIA’s handbook (available here) is a terrific resource for anyone investigating and disclosing violations of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).  Wiggin and Dana is grateful to SIA for the opportunity to help revise the handbook and join the panel.
