Did you know that the ADA Amendments Act of 2008 took effect on January 1, 2009? This seminar will inform you of the likely impact on employers of the ADAAA and what employers should do now to ensure compliance with the ADAAA. This seminar will also review the new EEOC Enforcement Guidance re: Applying Performance and Conduct Standards to Employees with Disabilities including providing reasonable accommodations in such circumstances.
The Employee Free Choice Act (EFCA) is proposed federal legislation that aims to "amend the National Labor Relations Act to establish an easier system to enable employees to form, join, or assist labor organizations to provide for mandatory injunctions for unfair labor practices during organizing efforts, and for other purposes." This seminar will review EFCA and discuss its implications for the long term care industry.
