New Jersey Hospital Association, 760 Alexander Road, Princeton, NJ
PROGRAM OBJECTIVES

This practical session will provide long-term care professionals with a thorough understanding of HIPAA. Participants will learn the steps needed to implement HIPAA in the long-term care environment and will receive practical information to assist them with implementation of the regulations. Case studies will be presented to illustrate how HIPAA will affect the way facilities manage, use and disclose resident information. The framework for conducting a gap analysis will also be reviewed.

Although you may have attended previous HIPAA educational programs, this session will focus specifically on long-term care and provide you with "hands-on" information that will be immediately applicable to your facility.
