Please join the Wiggin and Dana's Diversity Committee for an interactive program with guest speaker Dian Killian, Ph.D. on Crucial Conversations: Turning Around Challenging Work Situations……

What do you do when someone's not listening? Or when they disagree with you, or aren't fully including you in a conversation? How you respond---be it with co-workers, clients or managers, makes a crucial difference in how effectively and efficiently you work, and the quality of client relations. In this introductory program, take the first steps in learning how to:

  • Self-manage so you can respond, rather than react
  • Speak to what really matters to you on a core level
  • Share your concerns in a way that makes it easier for the other person to hear and take action
  • Understand differences based on our diversity in a way that's clarifying and connecting

Dian Killian, Ph.D., designs and leads transformative communications trainings in the US, Europe and Asia for diverse organizations including large NGOs, multinationals, and Fortune 100 companies. Her clients include the UN Development Program, New York University, Merck Inc., HCL Technologies (India), and Maryknoll Missionaries. She also facilitates critically-needed trainings at non-profit organizations including Americorps, Planetree, the Good Shepherd Shelter and Support All Families.

This program is highly interactive ---so come prepared with a challenging situation that you would like to resolve!
