Sexual Harrassment Prevention Training Seminars

April 23, 2013
Stamford Office

The Connecticut Commission on Human Rights and Opportunities requires that employers of fifty or more employees provide two hours of training and education on the prevention of sexual harassment to all new supervisory employees within six months of their assumption of a supervisory position. Many of you have already provided training to supervisors on this subject, but need a cost effective way to train those supervisors who missed the initial training, as well as those employees who recently became supervisors.

To assist employers in meeting their training obligations, as well as raising employee awareness about other forms of unlawful discrimination and harassment, we will present three seminars, one in Hartford, one in Stamford and one in New Haven. These seminars will discuss the operative federal and state statutory provisions, as well as the definition of sexual harassment, conduct that may constitute sexual harassment, remedies available and strategies to prevent sexual harassment in the workplace. A registration form is enclosed, along with directions to our offices.

We will continue providing these seminars in New Haven, Stamford and Hartford twice a year, generally in April/May and October/ November. On-site training is also available.
