16 Washington Place
New York, NY 10003
Wiggin and Dana attorney, Najia Khalid, will be leading the Startup School workshop "Startup Law 201: Building Your Immigration Case" held at the NYU Leslie eLab on September 26, 2018.
This workshop is part of the NYU Entrepreneurial Startup School, which is a semester-long workshop series that provides the training and resources to successfully launch and grow a startup.
Najia Khalid will be covering immigration law essentials as well as how to read, navigate, and evaluate financial documents, which are critical to various employment-based immigration cases. She will then focus on how to develop substantial business plans, a cornerstone for many employment-based visas, and highlight sources of funds and financing documents.
These are all areas on which Najia regularly counsel clients, in particular entrepreneurs and multinational organizations aspiring to open new business entities in the U.S. During this workshop, Najia will help entrepreneurs plan ahead for compliance and record-keeping items that will be important in the future when the businesses they establish are subject to employment, tax, and immigration laws.
