Tax Issues Relative to Executive Compensation

About the Program

With the passage of Code § 409A, the tax landscape has changed dramatically as it pertains to deferred compensation and other compensation arrangements. In this program, you will learn the basic features of a compensation package with particular emphasis on the new rules of Code § 409A. Tax issues in typical employment contracts will be discussed, and you will learn solutions to avoiding adverse tax consequences. In addition, a brief update on general year-end tax planning tips will be presented.
