Jonathan F. Tross


Jonathan is an Associate in the firm's Corporate Department. Jonathan represents clients in corporate finance transactions, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital financing, securities law, real estate transactions, and general corporate matters. Jonathan also represents clients with respect to restructuring and bankruptcy matters, including the bankruptcies of financial institutions and out-of-court restructurings and workouts. Jonathan's experience includes the representation of financial institutions, hedge funds, private equity groups, and institutional investors in various sectors such as power, oil and gas, real estate, manufacturing, retail, health care services and telecommunications.

Before joining Wiggin and Dana, Jonathan was an associate at two international law firms, where his practice encompassed transactional finance, bankruptcy and restructuring, project finance, and commercial real estate transactions.

Jonathan received his J.D., with high honors, from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was Executive Editor of the Connecticut Insurance Law Journal and received a number of awards, including CALI Awards for: Business Organizations; Securities Regulation; Banking Law and Regulation; Environmental Land Use; Retirement Security Law; and Copyright. He received his M.B.A. with a concentration in finance from the University of Connecticut School of Business, and his B.A, cum laude, in History from the University of Pennsylvania. Jonathan is also working towards a post-baccalaureate degree in computer science from Tufts University. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York.
