Jenny Chou Promoted to Counsel
New Haven – Wiggin and Dana is pleased to announce that Jenny Chou has been promoted to Counsel.
Jenny is a member of the firm's Litigation Department and has significant experience representing individuals and entities in civil litigation, criminal prosecutions and other governmental proceedings concerning securities and complex financial matters. She recently represented clients in cases involving the Madoff fraud and fallout from the 2008 financial crisis. Jenny also has extensive experience in conducting internal investigations for a wide range of companies and institutions. She is a co-author of the firm's Supreme Court Update, an email service keeping friends and clients of the firm abreast of the latest developments at the Court.
"Jenny's acumen for internal investigations and complex legal issues makes her an essential part of the firm's Litigation Department. Jenny is an extremely talented lawyer who devotes herself to her clients," commented Jim Glasser, Chair of the firm's Litigation Department.
Jenny serves on the Board of Directors of the Friends of New Haven Legal Assistance Association, raising funds and awareness for legal aid; and is a member of the New Haven Inn of Court. She coordinates the firm's fundraising efforts to benefit the Connecticut Food Bank and volunteers with her colleagues at the Downtown Evening Soup Kitchen in New Haven.
Jenny received her A.B. magna cum laude from Harvard College, and her J.D. from Yale Law School. She clerked for the Honorable Mary A. McLaughlin on the United States District Court, Eastern District of Pennsylvania from 2005-2006, and practiced in the Washington, D.C. office of Wilmer Cutler Pickering Hale and Dorr LLP before joining Wiggin and Dana in 2008.
