Judge Angela Robinson Joins Wiggin and Dana as Litigation Partner and Chief Diversity Officer
Wiggin and Dana is very proud and excited to announce that the Honorable Judge Angela Robinson, former Superior Court Judge of the State of Connecticut, New Haven District, has joined the firm as a Litigation Partner and Chief Diversity Officer. Judge Robinson's legal practice at Wiggin and Dana, will focus on medical malpractice defense and employment litigation, as well as serving as a consultant on a variety of state court matters.
After graduating from Yale Law School in 1989, Judge Robinson began her legal career at Wiggin and Dana and practiced as a litigation and health care associate. Judge Robinson then went on to join the Bridgeport plaintiff's trial law firm, Koskoff, Koskoff and Bieder, where she specialized in medical malpractice, premises liability, and employment discrimination.
In 1998, Judge Robinson was appointed to the Connecticut Superior Court at the age of 33, making her the youngest Superior Court Judge in Connecticut history. During her judicial tenure, Judge Robinson handled a multitude of criminal, civil, family, juvenile, and housing matters, ruled in courthouses all around Connecticut, authored over 350 written legal decisions, and has spoken at numerous conferences, programs and seminars.
For all her work and contributions to the legal community, Judge Robinson received the Edwin Archer Randolph Diversity Award in 2017 from the Lawyers' Collaborative for Diversity. Additionally, she was recognized by UConn Law School's Women Law Student Association as Woman of the Month in March 2015 and she received the Connecticut Bar Association's Diversity Award in 2014.
