Sean M. McAuliffe

Biography

Sean is an Associate in the firm’s Litigation Department.

Sean’s practice focuses on litigating medical malpractice actions and other complex tort claims in Connecticut state courts. He has experience drafting dispositive motions, and drafting in limine and other motions addressing evidentiary and trial issues. Sean has assisted clients in litigation ranging from collection matters for small businesses to complex disputes between multi-million dollar companies, as well as matters involving real estate issues. Before joining Wiggin and Dana as an Associate, Sean worked as a summer associate at the firm.

Sean received his J.D. cum laude from the University of Notre Dame Law School, where he wrote for the Journal of College and University Law. He was a member of the Showcase Team of the Moot Court Board, and won the A. Harold Weber Moot Court Award “for outstanding achievement in the art of oral advocacy.” He received his B.A. in English and History from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

Sean grew up in Durham, Connecticut and currently lives in New Haven. He is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Section and an active member of the New Haven Community.
