Partner Paul Tuchmann Quoted in Law360 Article on Guilty Pleas of Former President Donald Trump’s Affiliated Attorneys’

On October 25, 2023, Partner Paul Tuchmann was quoted in the Law360 article, “As Trump Lawyers Flip, Blaming Them Gets Trickier.” The article discusses former President Donald Trump’s criminal case and the guilty pleas of three lawyers affiliated with Trump’s 2020 campaign.

In regards to President Trump’s anticipated advice-of-counsel defense, Paul says, “It’s still the most legitimate argument, but it’s even less likely to succeed now when some of the lawyers whose advice he claimed he was relying on have pleaded guilty in connection with the same charges.”

In the article, Paul also comments on the problem of Trump arguing that he relied on legal advice provided by Rudy Giuliani, when Giuliani is also charged and likely to invoke his Fifth Amendment rights.
