Responding to a Government Investigation Involving Violations of the Export Laws

Jim Glasser and Joe Martini, partners in Wiggin and Dana’s White Collar Defense, Investigations and Corporate Compliance practice group, will be making a presentation on federal criminal investigations. A factual scenario involving the complex, overlapping laws and regulations that govern the federal government’s enforcement of the export laws will serve as the basis for a discussion about different law enforcement techniques – for example, the use of wiretaps and confidential informants – and responding to different phases of such an investigation, including the execution of search warrants and the use of the federal grand jury.
