Partner Jolie Apicella will serve as co-chair and give opening remarks for ACI’s 7th Annual Controlled Substances Law & Regulation Summit. The second day of the conference, she will speak on the panel “Litigation and Liability in the Post-Settlement Era: CSA and FCA Risks in the Opioid Supply Chain.”

She will discuss enforcement and litigation after the Purdue Pharma bankruptcy and major opioid settlements. The panelists will examine how state Attorney General offices, DOJ and DEA could use the Controlled Substances Act and the False Claims Act together. Her session will outline what manufacturers, distributors, healthcare providers, and counsel should do to prepare for emerging risks.
