Caroline is an Associate in Wiggin and Danaโs Litigation Department and a member of the firmโs International Trade Compliance (ITC) Practice Group.
Carolineโs practice includes conducting internal investigations, developing and enhancing compliance programs, providing export jurisdiction and classification analyses, conducting in-depth sanctions screening and due diligence reviews, and defending white-collar investigations and prosecutions. Carolineโs experience also includes representing large broker-dealers and other financial institutions, public and private companies, and individuals in government investigations and proceedings before administrative, legislative, and self-regulatory agencies including the SEC and FINRA. She has experience counseling clients on EAR, OFAC, and FCPA regulations, along with anti-money laundering and anti-boycott regulations. Caroline has also helped companies navigate U.S. Trade and Development Agency submissions.
Caroline previously served as a founding member of her firmโs CFIUS/CTA task force, where she worked on an interdisciplinary team advising the law firm and clients alike on responding to, and complying with, new CTA regulations.
Caroline earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, cum laude, where she served as Managing Editor for the International Law Journal and was a judicial extern for the Honorable Juan R. Torreulla, United States Court of Appeals for the First Circuit. She was also a two-time member of the Judge John R. Brown Admiralty Moot Court Competition team. She received her B.A. in Interdisciplinary Studies and Political Science from Stonehill College, magna cum laude and as a member of the Moreau Honors Program.
Caroline is currently a legal fellow with the Massachusetts Export Center.
