Daniel is Counsel in Wiggin and Danaโs Litigation Department and is resident in the New Haven office.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Daniel served as an Assistant District Attorney in the New York County District Attorneyโs Office assigned to the Major Economic Crimes Bureau, the Public Corruption Unit, and the Office of the Special Narcotics Prosecutor. ย Daniel handled a number of high-profile and complex white-collar investigations and prosecutions including official misconduct, conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering cases. Prior to joining the District Attorneyโs Office, Daniel served as Senior Counsel in the New York City Law Departmentโs Special Federal Litigation Division, where he defended federal civil rights lawsuits brought against police and correction officers for the City of New York, including fatal police shootings and civil rights class actions.
Daniel clerked for the Honorable Nina Gershon of the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York.
Daniel earned his J.D. from New York University School of Law where he was Executive Articles Editor for the New York University Annual Survey of American Law. He earned his B.S. in Industrial & Labor Relations from Cornell University.

People v. Stephen K. Bannon and WeBuildTheWall, Inc., Ind. 73554/22
Defendants were charged with conspiracy, fraud, and money laundering for raising money to build a wall on the U.S./Mexico border by promising that none of the money raised would be used to pay the non-profitโs CEO. WeBuildTheWall is charged with paying its CEO hundreds of thousands of dollars, which it attempted to hide by laundering it through third-party entities.*

Defendant was tried and convicted of official misconduct for using her position as a Special Master at the New York State Appellate Division, First Department, to benefit a client of her husband, who was also a lawyer.*
People v. Reginald Williams, Ind. 2232/19
Defendant was convicted for stealing over $400,000 from a charity which received taxpayer grants to provide supportive housing for people with substance-abuse issues and those who were living with HIV/AIDS.*
