CBA Young Lawyers Section Lunch & Learn: “Diversity Matters: The Importance of Diversity in the Legal Profession”

When: May 30, 2024

at 1:00pm

- 2:00pm

Location: Virtual

On May 30, 2024, Attorneys Jermaine Brookshire, Jr., Haseeb Khan, Connecticut Office of the Attorney General, and Antoria Howard, Deputy Assistant Attorney General, will collaborate as panelists for the Connecticut Bar Association Young Lawyers Section virtual “lunch and learn” entitled, “Diversity Matters: The Importance of Diversity in the Legal Profession.”

The conundrum persists that despite an increasingly diverse law school applicant pool over the years, the legal profession remains one of the least diverse professions in the nation. The panelists will share commentary on how diversity (and the lack thereof in certain respects) has impacted them in the legal profession and how employers and legal associations can assist in cultivating a truly inclusive environment that fosters and retains diverse talent.

Attendees will be eligible to receive 1 ethics CT CLE credit.
