On December 14, 2023, Wiggin and Dana will offer alumni a virtual CLE Ethics program on ethical considerations of attorney-client privilege and work product protections.

This program will provide a brief overview of the attorney-client privilege and work product doctrines, including a focus on hot-button issues under recent case law. Presenters will cover ethical considerations that counsel should think about when faced with privilege and work product decision-making.

Topics Include:

  • Overview of the attorney-client privilege
  • Overview of the Work Product Doctrine
  • Recent case law addressing waiver, the Kovel doctrine, sanctions, and privilege logs
  • Ethical considerations arising from all of the above for in-house and outside counsel

This program is offered exclusively to Wiggin and Dana alumni who are seeking CLE credit before the end of the year. Participants can earn up to 1.0 New York CLE credits in Ethics and Professionalism. Connecticut CLE will be based on actual instruction time.ย ย
