Client Briefing: Labor and Employment Update

When: October 29, 2020

at 8:30am

- 10:30am

Location: (Virtual Event)

The COVID19 pandemic has likely triggered some indefinite changes in the workplace, and statutory protections that continue through year end and beyond. Employers are faced with multiple questions, such as:
who can or should maintain a remote working arrangement; ways to ensure the safety of essential workers, as well as those workers who may not be essential, but who wish to return to the workplace; what obligations are owed to workers with underlying conditions or those who are just reluctant to return; what are the ongoing statutory entitlements for workers who cannot or who do not wish to return to work; and what types of medical testing, if any, are we permitted to conduct on returning workers?

In this two-hour presentation, Wiggin and Dana Employment attorneys will address these vexing questions and more.

8:30 a.m. – 9:15 a.m.:
In this segment we will address issues relating to remote working arrangements, including ADA accommodations, wage/hour issues, and medical testing of returning workers. We’ll also touch on the types of claims already being raised by employees during the pandemic.

9:15 a.m. – 9:25 a.m.:
