IIPCC Fall IP Experts Panel Series | Panel 2 | Big vs. Small: Perspectives on IP and IP Strategy

When: September 29, 2020

at 12:00pm

In the second session of the IIPCC Fall IP Experts Panel Series, Founder and Head of the New York IIPCC Chapter and Wiggin and Dana Partner Michael Kasdan and Washington IIPCC Chapter Head Everardo Ruiz will moderate a panel discussion that looks at how companies, big, small, and in between approach IP Strategy. Panelists include General Counsel of Zoeller Company, Jeffery Langer, PhD, JD; Founding Director of Sterne, Kessler, Goldstein & Fox, Robert Sterne, JD; and Appleton Luff Partner Sanjay Prasad, JD. This will take place on September 29.

Panel Description:

Conventional wisdom states that intellectual property (IP) protection is essential for companies.  However, its value depends on how and when it will be used, and for that reason, determining the worth (and future worth) of IP has sometimes been described as โ€œvaluing fine art.โ€  IP valuation and the investment decisions tied to IP protection vary by company size, largely due to the business forces shaping them.

BigCo vs. SmallCo Perspectives on IP and IP Strategy  will explore both small company and large company perspectives on the importance of developing and maintaining IP as part of an IP strategy.
