Lecture on Preservation of Issues for Appeal
On November 21, 2024, Partner Jeff Babbin presented a lecture on the preservation of issues for appeal at the Connecticut Bar Association’s 2024 Appellate Advocacy Institute.
The Appellate Advocacy Institute is a one-and-a-half-day legal analysis and oral argument program designed to develop and sharpen participants’ appellate advocacy skills in a supportive learning environment. Participants were asked to perform as appellate counsel, in a mooting session, and in an oral argument to judges and justices of the Supreme and Appellate Courts. Members of the faculty provided guidance, instruction, and tips on how to be more effective.
