Partner Michael Kasdan was a Featured Speaker on Twitter Space Discussing the BoredJobs “PLAN” IP License for Commercializing NFTs
On September 26, 2022, Partner Michael Kasdan was a featured guest on BoredJobs Twitter space to review, assess and critique version 1.0 of their PLAN licenses with the intention of hosting a transparent public discussion on the matter.
Two weeks ago, BoredJobs released a free-to-use NFT contract template called the PLAN intending to help NFT owners (e.g., owners of BAYC and Gutter Cat Gang) to more quickly and efficiently do commercialization deals.
The ability of an NFT holder to commercialize a digital asset, when granted, opens up a fascinating new potential for value creation and generates a new type of stakeholder. News about other licensing standards and templates emerging over the past weeks is an indicator of how quickly the commercialization space is maturing. But it’s also critical to “get it right” with these standards and templates.
