Partner Erika Amarante Named Co-Chair of LFCA Advocate Network

February 20, 2024

Partner Erika Amarante was recently selected to serve as Co-Chair of the newly-created LFCA Advocate Network, which will launch later this year.

Lawyers for Children America (LFCA) is a non-profit organization founded thirty years ago to provide pro bono legal representation to abused, neglected, and at-risk children. The new LFCA Advocate Network will create a network of volunteers across law firms and corporations who can learn from one another and benefit from shared learning, training expertise and resources. Membership in the program is by invitation and members are responsible for coordinating their firm or businessโ€™ participation in LFCA cases.

Erika has been involved with LFCA for over 20 years. Commenting on her appointment to this new liaison program, Erika stated:, โ€œMost of LFCAโ€™s volunteer lawyers practice in areas other than child welfare. The LFCA Advocate Network will be an indispensable resource for their continued learning and professional support. I look forward to continuing to work with this great organization to support at-risk children in Connecticut.โ€
