Partner Jolie Apicella Quoted in Law 360 Article on MAHA Report
On June 3, 2025, Partner Jolie Apicella was quoted in a Law360 article titled, “MAHA Report’s Fake Citations a Red Flag for Experts.”
In response to the Make Our Children Health Again Assessment, Jolie discussed the importance of developing a report by first evaluating all available studies and information rather than starting with conclusions. The speed at which the report came together and the mistakes within it suggest that “they’re finding conclusions first and, in the process, trying to find the support and the support might not be there.”
“Science doesn’t work that way,” Jolie said.
Jolie noted that the errors in the report undermine its credibility. The result now is that experts and critics are โscrutinizing it even more because it just becomes a less trustworthy document,โ she said.
