The Intellectual Property Practice Group Welcomes the Recent Addition of Three Team Members
The Intellectual Property Practice group is happy to announce the recent addition of three team members, Jonathan Harris, Brian Pattengale and Nathan Denning.ย Their collective experience will bolster the capabilities of the IP group.
A leading patent lawyer, Harris focuses his practice on helping clients protect, license and monetize their most valuable intellectual property assets. He is a member of the firmโs Life Sciences practice group, where he focuses on negotiating and drafting sophisticated patent licenses and strategic alliances. In addition, he advises established and emerging life science companies on mission-critical patent matters, including litigation, due diligence, freedom to operate opinions, and prosecution. In his more than two decades of IP law experience, Harris has prepared and prosecuted more than 200 patent applications. Brian Pattengale, Ph.D. is a patent agent for the Wiggin and Dana Intellectual Property department, where he leverages his extensive scientific background to provide comprehensive technical analysis for patent matters. His technical background is in the areas of materials chemistry and physics, with expertise in laser spectroscopy techniques. He is also knowledgeable in the areas of biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, consumer products, green chemistry, and genetics. Brian also assists clients with patent drafting and prosecution. Nathan is Counsel in Wiggin and Danaโs Litigation Department. He has extensive experience leading large, complex litigation from pre-suit investigation through verdict, appeal or settlement in a wide variety of practice areas, including securities, antitrust, intellectual property, contracts, torts, bankruptcy and trusts and estates. Prior to law school, Nathan completed a bachelor of science degree in Electrical & Computer Engineering, which suits him for handling high tech litigation, including patent and other intellectual property matters.
