Wiggin and Dana Advises NBT Bancorp Inc. on Merger with Evans Bancorp Inc.

Wiggin and Dana recently represented NBT Bancorp Inc., a Norwich, NY based financial holding company, as executive compensation and employee benefits counsel in their successful merger with Evans Bancorp, Inc. The $236 million merger has significantly extended the NBT Bank, N.A. branch network into the Western Region of New York with the addition of 14 banking offices resulting in 175 branches across its seven-state footprint.

The transaction was led by Labor, Employment, and Benefits Partner Christian Chandler.
