Wiggin and Dana Associates Receive the Jack Dunham Award in Franchise Law
At the 2024 Annual Meeting of the ABA’s Forum on Franchising, Wiggin and Dana Associates Rachel Canna and Jared Lincoln and their co-author Samuel Agostini from Urso, Liguori, and Micklich received the Jack Dunham Rising Scholar Award, which is given each year to a young lawyer who authors the best article for the Franchise Law Journal. Rachel, Jared, and Sam wrote a comprehensive and timely article on waiver in arbitration titled “Arbitration Waiver in the Wake of Morgan v. Sundance.” This is the first time a Wiggin and Dana attorney has won this award.
Edward “Jack” Wood Dunham was a former Wiggin and Dana partner who served as the Chair of the Forum on Franchising from 2007 to 2009 and the Editor-in-Chief of the Franchise Law Journal from 1997 until 2000. In honor of his skills as a writer and mentor, the Forum renamed its Rising Scholar Award after Jack following his untimely death in 2015.
