Wiggin and Dana Attorney Quoted in the Hartford Courant (April 4, 2012)

Wiggin and Dana Corporate Partner Frank Marco, Chair of the Private Equity and Emerging Companies Practice Group and Co-Chair of the firm’s Clean Technology Practice Group, was quoted in the April 4, 2012 Hartford Courant blog “JOBS Act Simplifies Crowdfunding.” The article discusses the Jumpstart Our Business Startups (JOBS) Act, signed into law by President Obama on April 5, which is legislation designed to make it easier for startup companies to attract investors. Mr. Marco commented that the motivation behind the bill is sound because innovation is what will drive the economy. “It won’t be the wild west out there, [crowdfunding] will be regulated by the SEC.”
