Alyssa Cook is an Associate in Wiggin and Danaโs Labor, Employment and Benefits Department. She defends companies in matters involving Title VII, ADA, FLSA, non-competition agreements/trade secrets, and state antidiscrimination, harassment, or wage and hour laws.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Alyssa worked for a global law firm where she prepared pleadings, dispositive motions, discovery requests, and responses, summary judgment motions, and internal advisory memoranda. She also prepared materials for client trainings on employment issues such as reasonable accommodations, FMLA and other state leave laws, hiring/termination best practices, and wage and hour hot topics. In addition, she drafted and revised contracts including non-compete agreements, independent contractor agreements, and severance agreements.
Alyssa earned her Juris Doctor from Northwestern Pritzker School of Law, where she was Associate Editor of the Journal of Law and Social Policy.ย
She earned her Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern University.
