Andrea is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Labor, Employment and Benefits Department. She manages a diverse labor and employment practice that includes litigating both single-plaintiff and class action lawsuits; supporting corporate transactions; conducting contract negotiations on behalf of employers; and representing employers in various state and federal agency proceedings.
Andrea represents employers in labor and employment matters across the United States, including in federal and state courts and private arbitration. Andrea represents clients across a broad range of industries and sectors, frequently advising start-up clients through all stages of development, and also specializing in non-profit labor relations.
Andrea’s practice also involves providing day-to-day advice and counsel on a broad spectrum of employment-related matters, including conducting reductions in force, managing employee performance concerns and terminations of employment, drafting and revising policies, employee handbooks, and employment-related documents, and negotiating restrictive covenants. Andrea has experience negotiating executive employment agreements, including incentive compensation plans.
Andrea also advises and represents clients on traditional labor law matters, including union organizing campaigns, recognition decisions, collective bargaining, proceedings before the National Labor Relations Board, day-to-day labor-management relationships, positive labor relations, and management of unionized workforces.
From a transactional perspective, Andrea provides diligence, drafting, and related support to clients on mergers, acquisitions, financing rounds, and related transactions, and has experience representing both sellers and buyers, as well as both investors and recipients of funding.
Andrea is deeply committed to providing pro bono services, particularly within the District of Columbia.
