Debbie is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Health Care Practice Group. Debbie has represented and advised hospitals, health systems and other health care entities on a variety of transactions and related healthcare regulatory issues over her more than 30-year career. She also has extensive experience in representing private equity groups and middle market companies. Debbie’s strength is to be an integral member of her clients’ teams, helping them meet their business objectives at every stage.

Debbie represents health care providers and other companies in all types of complex transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, corporate finance, clinical affiliations and innovative collaborations. She assists clients in developing strategies in structuring and documenting sophisticated strategic alliances. Debbie also works with healthcare leadership to identify and capitalize on opportunities for growth with start-up companies by developing collaboration agreements and negotiating appropriate equity contributions and other compensation, including warrants, options, royalties and licensing arrangements.

In addition to her health care business, Debbie has handled the purchase and sale of companies throughout the United States and Canada in a variety of industries, including manufacturing and distribution companies, consumer product companies and software/information technology developers.

Before joining Wiggin and Dana, Debbie was in-house at a major health care organization, where she served as Senior Associate General Counsel. Prior to that, Debbie was in private practice in Connecticut and New York. Debbie earned her J.D. from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she served as Assistant to the Legal Advisor to the University, and her B.S., in Psychology from Old Dominion University.
