Howard Wizenfeld is a Partner in Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department and a member of its Intellectual Property Practice Group.
Howard has decades of experience leading complex patent litigation, primarily in the fields of electrical engineering, wireless telecommunications, computer networking, and computer science. He also handles disputes across the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and chemical sectors. While his practice is largely focused on intellectual property matters, he has litigated non-IP disputes, including commercial and financial services litigation.
He also has substantial experience drafting and negotiating complex IP agreements in connection with mergers and acquisitions, including carve-outs, share and asset purchase agreements, controlling and minority investments such as venture capital transactions, financings, restructurings, joint ventures, SPACs, and related ancillary agreements. He has negotiated and drafted a wide range of IP documentation, including patent and know-how licensing agreements, trademark and data licensing agreements, and SaaS and fintech agreements. Howard frequently represents clients across the artificial intelligence, automotive, fintech, music publishing, retail, cybersecurity, professional services, and food and beverage industries.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Howard served as Special Counsel at Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP, where he handled all aspects of intellectual property law.
Howard earned his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law and his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Columbia University. He is also a member of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA).
