John (Jack) Cigno is an Associate in Wiggin and Danaโs Labor, Employment and Benefits Department. He represents employers of all sizes, across a wide variety of industries, in all types of employment law matters. Specifically, Jack defends companies in litigation matters alleging violations of Title VII, the ADA, the FLSA, analogous state and local laws, and wage and hour laws. Jack also provides preventative advice and counsel to employers regarding all types of workplace laws and issues.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Jack worked for a prominent, national employment law firm where he focused on employment litigation and defense. Jack also provided advice and counsel to clients regarding investigation of employee complaints, issues relating to workplace discrimination, retaliation and harassment, disability benefits and leave, wage and hour compliance, executive contracts, compensation, and related employment policies and procedures.
Jack earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law, where he was a Notes and Comments Editor of Volume 49 of the Connecticut Law Review. Before attending law school, Jack earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Lafayette College.
