Julia is an Associate in the Private Client Services Department, where she focuses her practice on trusts and estates, including estate planning, probate and estate administration, and fiduciary litigation matters. She advises clients on a broad range of issues related to the management and transfer of wealth, handling proceedings from inception through resolution.
Julia’s experience includes preparing probate and administration petitions, judicial accountings, and other court filings, as well as drafting sophisticated estate planning documents, pleadings, and motions. She conducts legal research and collaborates with senior attorneys to develop litigation strategy. In addition to her trusts and estates work, Julia assists with corporate matters, including entity formation, governance, contract drafting, and compliance.
Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Julia served as a law clerk and intern with Marks DiPalermo Wilson, where she developed a strong foundation in estate planning and fiduciary litigation. She also previously gained experience assisting with complex medical negligence litigation, real property tax matters, and providing pro bono legal services to self-represented litigants in federal court.
Julia earned her Juris Doctor from the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University, where she served as a Research Editor for the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel Journal and received the Estate Planning Graduate Award. She was active in trial advocacy and several professional and student organizations. Julia received her Bachelor of Arts in Communication from Fairfield University.
