Katie Rubino is a Partner in the Corporate Department.
Katie counsels innovative companies at all stages of growth on intellectual property strategy, commercialization, and complex business transactions. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, including life sciences, technology, software, artificial intelligence, quantum computing, digital health, medical devices, and other emerging sectors. Katie advises clients on strategic partnerships, licensing and collaboration agreements, technology transfer, growth capital financings, mergers and acquisitions, spin-offs, divestitures and other transactions where intellectual property is a key business asset. She is particularly experienced in structuring and negotiating arrangements that support innovation, commercialization, and long-term business growth.
Katie is active in industry organizations and chairs the American Chemical Society’s Chemistry and the Law Division. She speaks frequently on intellectual property and life sciences at MIT, Harvard, Yale, and Northeastern, and has been featured in The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business, and Corporate Compliance Insights. She co-authored You Are an IP Company: The 12-Step Plan to Increase Your Intellectual Property Influence, Impact, and Income and co-hosts the You Are an IP Company podcast (Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and YouTube).
Katie holds a J.D. from Suffolk University Law School, a Doctor of Pharmacy from Northeastern University, and is dually qualified to practice in both the United States and England and Wales.
