Michael is an Associate in Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department, where he focuses on a broad category of intellectual property litigation, with additional patent prosecution support, across telecommunications, electronics, aerospace and defense, medical technology, and artificial intelligence.

Before joining the firm, he served as a Patent Examiner in the Multiplex Communication Art Unit at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, examining applications involving 5G infrastructure, telecommunications networks, and AI-driven communications systems. His examiner-side perspective informs his work on invalidity analysis, claim charting, prosecution history review and PTAB matters.

Before entering law school, Michael spent several years as an electrical and RF systems engineer in the aerospace and defense industry, working on RF and satellite communication systems, antennas, signal processing, and missile and defense technologies involving guidance, communications architectures, and system-to-unit level integration and testing.
