Michael Perry Cox

Associate

Perry is an Associate in Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department and a member of the firm’s International Trade Compliance (ITC) Practice Group.

Perry’s practice involves conducting internal investigations, developing and enhancing compliance programs, and providing complex export jurisdiction and classification analyses. Perry helps clients build risk-based trade compliance programs, leveraging the knowledge and experience he gained during his prior government work. Perry’s proactive and meticulous approach allows clients to tailor their compliance programs to the constantly evolving regulatory landscape and thereby minimize risks.

Before joining Wiggin, Perry led a team for the Department of Homeland Security’s Export Control Group, managing portfolios involving export control modernization, agency compliance, CFIUS reviews, and Commodity Jurisdiction Requests.

Perry received his J.D. from Drexel University Thomas R. Kline School of Law, cum laude, where he served as Lead Editor for Law Review. He received his B.S. in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
