Paul Lee, Ph.D. is a Patent Agent for the Wiggin and Dana’s Intellectual Property and Life Sciences Practice Groups, where he leverages his scientific background to provide technical analysis and support across a wide range of patent matters, including patent drafting, prosecution, and strategy.

Paul began at the firm as a Technology Specialist, providing technical analysis for antibodies, gene therapies, small molecule therapies, and RNA- and peptide-based therapeutics. He received his Ph.D. in Neuroscience and worked as a Postdoctoral Associate at Yale University School of Medicine, where his research focused on gene regulation, neurodegeneration, and RNA biology. His doctoral work was published in Molecular Cell and featured in Nature Reviews Molecular Cell Biology.

Paul holds a Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Wisconsin – Madison and a Master of Public Health in Chronic Disease Epidemiology at Yale University, where he applied biostatistical methods to study the genetics of Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological disorders.

He has authored or co-authored publications in leading journals, including Molecular Cell, eLife, The Journal of Clinical Investigation, Journal of Neuropathology & Experimental Neurology, among others. He is registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and is fluent in Korean.
