Valerie is an Associate in Wiggin and Dana’s Private Client Services Department in the Stamford office, where she focuses her practice on estate planning, trust and estate administration services, and tax efficient wealth transfer.

Prior to joining Wiggin and Dana, Valerie worked at a boutique trusts and estates firm, where she drafted complex estate planning documents for high-net-worth clients, administered estates ranging from $5 million to $300 million, and prepared key federal and state tax filings. Additionally, she served as a law clerk associate, where she drafted comprehensive estate plans, supported probate and TPO filings, and developed transition plans for young adults with intellectual disabilities, creating strategies to secure Medicaid services while preserving client assets.

She also gained experience at the UConn School of Law Low Income Taxpayer Clinic, where she represented financially vulnerable taxpayers by drafting Tax Court petitions, negotiating with IRS counsel, and conducting intake and transcript reviews. Earlier in her career, she supported probate and estate planning matters as a client relationship manager and handled high volume real estate closings as a resale closing specialist.

Valerie earned her J.D. from the UConn School of Law, where she also completed the Tax Studies Certificate. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and a B.A. in Public Relations from the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude.
