Estate Planning Attorney Jevera Hennessey Joins Wiggin and Dana’s Greenwich Office
Wiggin and Dana LLP is pleased to announce that Jevera Hennessey has joined the firm’s Greenwich office as a partner in the Private Client Services Department. A prominent estate planning attorney, her addition adds depth to the firm’s Chambers High Net Worth-ranked group, which helps clients navigate business succession, philanthropic arrangements, and trust and estate issues in the U.S. and internationally.
A highly regarded trusts and estates attorney with deep roots in the Greenwich legal community, Hennessey brings experience advising individuals and families on estate planning, trust administration, and related tax matters.
“We have long respected Jevera’s work,” said Tim Diemand, Managing Partner of Wiggin and Dana. “Her dedication to clients is exceptional, and we are pleased to welcome her to the firm.”
Hennessey’s arrival marks a continued investment in the growth of Wiggin and Dana’s Private Client Services team. Hennessey’s addition brings the total number of Wiggin and Dana Private Client attorneys to 20.
Hennessey joins the firm following her most recent tenure as a partner at Whitman Breed Abbott & Morgan LLC. Earlier in her career, she practiced with several Greenwich-area firms before launching Kaye and Hennessey, where she served as a founding partner. Over the course of her career, she has built a practice focused on delivering tailored, high-touch counsel across a range of estate and trust issues.
“Jevera brings a deep understanding of estate planning and administration, honed over decades of practice in the Greenwich community,” said Michael Clear, chair of the Private Client Services Department. “Her commitment to client service and her collaborative approach aligns seamlessly with our team’s values. We’re pleased to welcome her to Wiggin and Dana.”
Hennessey received her undergraduate degree from Georgetown University, her law degree from Boston University School of Law, and has spent her career practicing in Connecticut.
“I’ve long admired Wiggin and Dana’s reputation for excellence in private client services and its deep commitment to client-focused planning,” said Hennessey. “Joining a team that shares my approach to thoughtful, personalized counsel is a natural next step, and I look forward to continuing to serve my clients with the added support and resources of the firm.”
In addition to her legal practice, Hennessey has been deeply involved in the local bar and broader community. She served as President of the Greenwich Bar Association, was a board member of the Fairfield County Bar Association, and has held leadership roles with SilverSource, Stamford Hospital Foundation, and Stamford’s Community Emergency Response Team. She has also lectured widely on estate planning and probate topics and served for many years as an instructor for the Town of Greenwich Continuing Education program.
