Tim is Wiggin and Dana’s Managing Partner and a member of the firm’s Litigation Department. He has made his mark defending and representing clients around the country in high stakes matters such as complex insurance class actions, copyright claims against major record labels and recording artists, professional malpractice defense, catastrophic injury claims and large construction matters. Tim has tried to conclusion a number of cases in federal and state court, and in various arbitration forums.

Tim has been recognized by Chambers USA in the Commercial Litigation category and by Benchmark Litigation as a Litigation Star. Benchmark Litigation noted that Tim was lauded by a peer for “a great sense of dealing with the business people, amassing the facts and arguing effectively.” Chambers USA notes that “Tim is a fantastic litigator – effective and fearless in the courtroom, but also skilled at calming the waters and not letting emotions stand in the way of a beneficial resolution.” Wiggin and Dana’s Litigation Department regularly receives top rankings in Chambers USA (Band 1) and Benchmark Litigation. In 2017, Tim was named one of the Connecticut Law Tribune’s (CLT) Distinguished Leaders, recognizing lawyers who achieve impressive results and demonstrate clear leadership.

Tim is an active member of the legal community. Tim is past President and executive committee member of the Connecticut Bar Foundation, and is the past Co-Chair of the CBA’s Professionalism Committee and past Co-Chair of the Federal Practice Section. Tim has been recognized for his charitable and pro bono work, including being honored in 2014 by Connecticut Legal Services for his successful representation of a CLS client in a federal court lawsuit.
