Connecticut Legal Awards Honors Wiggin and Dana Litigation Department and Two Attorneys

The Connecticut Law Tribune’s annual Connecticut Legal Awards ceremony was held virtually last night. The award ceremony honors those attorneys and judges who have made a remarkable difference in the legal profession in Connecticut. For the fifth consecutive year Wiggin and Dana was again named Litigation Department of the Year – General and also recognized this year in the Litigation specialty categories for Product Liability/Mass Torts and Business/Commercial. The Connecticut Tribune has recognized Wiggin and Dana since this ceremony began in 2013.

Partner Najia Khalid, who chairs the firm’s Immigration and Nationality Law and Compliance Practice Group and serves as Co-Chair of the firm’s Inclusion, Diversity and Equity Committee, was honored with the Connecticut Law Tribune’s inaugural award for Diversity Initiative Individual. Additionally, Associate Jessica Butcaris, was recognized with the Unsung Hero award for the considerable pro bono work she has done on behalf of veterans.
