Senior Counsel Robert M. Langer to Present at The Retail Benefits Group’s Annual Conference
On June 25, 2024, Senior Counsel Robert M. Langer will present at The Retail Benefits Group’s Annual Conference in Chicago. He will provide guidance to the representatives of many of the major retailers in the U.S. regarding how to safely share certain information with competitors without running afoul of federal and state antitrust laws. He will also discuss several recent significant competition-related initiatives of the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division; the Federal Trade Commission; and state attorneys general.
Bob is recognized as one of the country’s foremost authorities on antitrust, consumer protection, and trade regulation law, and has extensive experience counselling clients and speaking to numerous trade groups on a wide variety of competition, consumer protection, and constitutional law topics.
Before joining Wiggin and Dana in 1994, Bob served for two decades as an Assistant Attorney General and head of the Antitrust & Consumer Protection Department in the Connecticut Attorney General’s Office. Bob has also served as an adjunct law professor for the past forty-five years teaching antitrust, unfair and deceptive trade practices and constitutional at UConn Law School (2014-present), Quinnipiac University School of Law (2021-present), and UConn’s MBA Program (1979-2013).
