On September 14, Senior Counsel Robert M. Langer and Associate Daniel P. Scholfield of Pullman & Comley LLC, Bridgeport will present on behalf of the Connecticut Bar Association on the topic of, “The End of the Commercial Relationship Test and Other Recent Significant Developments in CUTPA Jurisprudence.”

“This seminar offers an opportunity for Connecticut Unfair Trade Practices Act (CUTPA) novices and veterans alike to keep up-to-date with the cutting edge of CUTPA jurisprudence. The seminar will mostly cover several significant recent shifts in CUTPA jurisprudence, but only after offering enough background and context to permit even those who are new to CUTPA to follow the discussion and understand the significance of the cases presented.”

Attendees will learn the basics of CUTPA, about Soto v. Bushmaster Firearms International, LLC, 331 Conn. 53 (2019) “and the several ways in which it has caused a landscape shift in CUTPA jurisprudence,” and other important recent cases including Cadco, Ltd v. Doctorโ€™s Associates, Inc., 188 Conn. App. 122 (2019).
