Wiggin and Dana announced the elevation of Gabriella E. Bensur to partner, effective Jan. 1, 2026. Her promotion strengthens the firm’s Litigation Department and deepens its capabilities in antitrust and complex commercial disputes, particularly for technology and pharmaceutical clients facing high-stakes litigation and investigations. By expanding its leadership in these areas, the firm enhances its capacity to guide clients through multidistrict litigation, regulatory scrutiny and other sophisticated matters central to today’s competitive and highly regulated markets.

In addition, the firm promoted Madiha M. Malik, Kaitlyn A. Pacelli, and Jason (Jay) L. Stevenson to counsel, also effective January 1, 2026. The new counsel represents a range of practice areas, including health care transactions, private client services and real estate.

New Partner

Gabriella is an antitrust and commercial litigator with extensive experience leading clients through complex litigation, including nationwide antitrust class actions, regulatory matters, investigations, and commercial disputes. Gabriella is known for her strategic approach and ability to guide clients through all phases of litigation, from pre-litigation negotiations to verdict, appeal, or settlement, with a particular focus on major technology and pharmaceutical clients.  Gabriella is also a trusted advisor on antitrust concerns.  She is deeply committed to pro bono service, with a specific interest in representing victims of domestic violence in family court, and she is a member of the LGBTQ+ Bar Association. Gabriella earned both her B.A. and J.D. from Cornell University.

New Counsel

Madiha Malik is a member of the firm’s Health Care Department. She focuses her practice on regulatory and transactional matters for health care providers. She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A. from The George Washington University.

Kaitlyn Pacelli is a member of the firm’s Private Client Services Department. She focuses her practice on estate planning and trust and estate administration. She received her J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and her B.A., summa cum laude, from Fairfield University.

Jason (Jay) Stevenson is a member of the firm’s Real Estate, Environmental, Construction and Facilities Department. He focuses his practice on commercial and mixed-use real estate transactions, leasing, financing, and development. He received his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law and his B.S. in Economics from Boston College.
