Wiggin and Dana’s Workplace Issues in Focus webinar series offers timely, practical perspectives on the legal and business challenges shaping today’s workplace.

In this webinar, the second in our three-part series, attorneys from Wiggin and Dana’s Labor, Employment and Benefits Department will discuss how employers can respond to disability, pregnancy, and religious accommodation requests while navigating overlapping federal and state laws, evolving legal standards, employee expectations, and day-to-day operational needs.

The program will provide practical guidance for recognizing when an accommodation obligation is triggered, engaging in a meaningful interactive process, evaluating undue hardship, and developing policies that support both legal compliance and employee needs.

Topics will include:

  • When an employee request triggers accommodation obligations
  • The interactive process under the Americans with Disabilities Act
  • Employer obligations under the Pregnant Workers Fairness Act
  • Religious accommodation and the undue hardship standard after Groff v. DeJoy
  • Connecticut-specific accommodation requirements
  • Policies, training, and documentation practices that reduce the risk of claims
